How It Started
THE STORY OF HOW SLO SANTA CAME TO BE
When Christmas 2020 rolled around, it hit me: My newest grandchild wouldn't get Santa photos, a family tradition dating back to when I was a baby. Then, this hit me: I could be Santa. How hard could it be? Grow out my beard, get a suit and sit for some photos. Easy, right? I couldn't have been more wrong! As I began to dive deeper into the world of Santa Claus I learned that it's so much more than just wearing a suit and saying, "Ho, ho, ho!" The more I learned, the more passionate I became about encompassing the role of Santa. The photo here is a far cry from the Santa Claus I've morphed in to, but the photo of my granddaughter with me in the early Santa days is something I will always cherish.
The joy of the Christmas spirit is truly priceless. The magic of Santa is found in the twinkle of a child’s eye, the excitement of preparations, the anticipation of the big day, and shared childhood memories. I am honored to have the opportunity to bring that magic to your home, workplace, mailbox, and community.

Santa Cecil is a San Luis Obispo County local, who has been involved in the community for 50 years. He has almost 40 years of experience in many capacities of education, mostly as an elementary classroom teacher. SLO Santa is a member of the Worldwide Santa Claus Network, as well as various Santa communities. He received professional Santa training at the Northern Lights Santa Academy.
He is a real-bearded Santa, outfitted in high-quality custom Santa suits. Your experience with SLO Santa will be engaging and interactive, as he taps into children’s creativity, imagination, and play. SLO Santa believes that part of his role is to bring the spirit of Christmas by encouraging empathy, kindness and generosity.
